National Geographic and VICTORINOX are excited to invite you and your family to embrace the green this year!

On 26th November 2017, renowned expert guides are here to bring you and your family to explore the magical wilds of Hong Kong. This exciting one-day workshop organized by National Geographic includes various nature exploration sessions. With our specially designed activities, children will be led to a whole new world of nature adventure learning with our two ecology expert guides, Mr. Ken Ching and Dr. Michelle Cheung.

Jump on in and be prepared to learn about cool ecological fun facts and create artworks with small tools and raw materials from the wild!

2017年11月26日，National Geographic 與VICTORINOX 誠意邀請您同小朋友一家大細親親大自然！由知名講師帶領您同屋企人探索戶外，齊享受身邊嘅奇幻森林！National Geographic嘅一日營涵蓋左好多我地精心設計嘅大自然探索活動，希望激發小朋友對大自然嘅好奇心同學習興趣。

由兩位資深生態導師——程詩灝先生同張瑪珊博士，於 National Geographic X VICTORINOX 香港小小探險家親子一日營教授野外知識，利用小工具同自然素材進行創作，啟發小朋友對大自然嘅熱愛！

【Expert Guides 講師簡介】

Mr. Ken Ching 程詩灝先生

Mr. Ken Ching, Chairman and Founder of Eco-Education and Resources Centre (ERC), founded EcoTour Travel Limited in 1996 to promote eco-travelling in Hong Kong. In 2002, with aims to further enrich the database of Hong Kong’s ecology, he established ERC and made a massive effort to Hong Kong’s ecological conservation.

An experienced eco-tour guide and lecturer, his contributions on environmental conservation and education are highly recognized. He was awarded as one of Hong Kong’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons 2006 and the Roadshow EcoStar in 2012. Ching is also a researcher and advisor on eco-education at Beijing University’s Congzuo Biodiversity Research Base and Qinzhou Chinese White Dolphin Diversity Research Base.

生態教育及資源中心總監及創辦人程詩灝先生於1996年成立「生態遊蹤」，積極推廣香港生態活動和旅遊。隨後為進一步豐富香港的生態資料庫，於2002年成立「生態教育及資源中心」，在香港生態保育工作不遺餘力！

程先生於2006年榮獲爲香港十大傑出青年，並於「北京大學崇左生物多樣性研究基地」及「北京大學欽州市中華白海豚生物多樣性研究基地」擔任特約研究員，兼任生態教育顧問。從事生態保育工作多年，程先生對世界各地的環保及生態保育項目均有豐富知識及獨特見解。

Dr. Michelle Cheung 張瑪珊博士

Michelle Cheung, Doctor of Philosophy in Marine Environmental Science at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), is the Science Manager of Eco-Education and Resources Centre (ERC). She was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Hong Kong, specializing in studying the effect of heavy metals on marine life.

Cheung was the Principal Investigator of several projects, including “A study on the population and distribution of seahorses (Family: Syngnathidae) in Hong Kong and conservation campaign” sponsored by Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong, “Finding Pipefish” sponsored by Hong Kong International Airport Environmental Fund, and “Exploring Shore Life”sponsored by Earthwatch Institutes Hong Kong. She has been an advisor of marine and wetland ecology conservation at Beijing University, Scout Association of Hong Kong Diving Club, and AquaZone. Cheung has previously attended media interviews and was invited as a guest speaker on TV, radio, print, and online media. Alongside a number of scientific journals, Dr. Cheung has also published hiking guides with World Publishing Company for families to explore the beauty of nature in Hong Kong.

香港科技大學海洋環境科學博士張瑪珊博士曾任香港大學後博士研究員，主要研究重金屬對海洋生物的影響。張博士曾任多個生態研究項目的首度研究員，包括由「香港海洋公園保育基金」贊助之「香港海馬的數量和分佈」，「香港國際機場環保基金」贊助之「香港的海管魚（海龍）分布 2012」，以及「地球觀察 (Earthwatch Institutes Hong Kong)」贊助之「探索海岸生物 (Exploring Shore Life)」。張博士擁有豐富生態保育經驗，曾擔任多項顧問工作，包括北京大學三娘灣海洋生態保育顧問、香港童軍潛水會海洋生態顧問及水族天地海洋生態顧問。現為濕地生態學家，並多次接受傳媒採訪，獲邀為節目嘉賓。除了發表多篇科學論文，張博士亦於2012年與「世界出版社」推出書籍《親子樂悠遊 – 香港十大郊遊路線》，鼓勵大小朋友共同發掘香港奇妙的大自然。
